A thousand years of contradiction
Open one classic of Zi Ping and you are told the Structure is paramount. Open another and you hear that Tiao Hou is the root. A third denies both and unfurls a sheaf of symbolic stars with frightening names. For centuries the student has been left to memorise these schools side by side, as equals, with no compass to say which speaks when.
Most of the quarrel, it turns out, is not about truth at all — only about which voices were left standing on the wrong tier.
The answer
Rather than a flat list of competing claims, every doctrine of the old texts is set into one hierarchy — each in its proper place, each with its proper weight. A governing rule keeps the reading honest:
“When two tiers say different things, the lower tier prevails over the upper.”
The prerequisite, examined first of all: Keeping the destiny full of living Qi, with cold and heat, dry and damp, held in balance.
The heaviest scale: Measuring a person’s true force — strong or weak, rooted or adrift — and the true and false, empty and full, of each god.
Fixing high and low, honour and disgrace, by the established rules of the classical formations.
The symbolic stars and the Sound-Element — admitted only to add a touch, never granted authority to decide fortune or calamity.

Whenever you meet a chart, you proceed in order. Hold the sequence in mind — it is the red thread that keeps a stray detail from sweeping you off course.
An ethical commitment
For too long Zi Ping has borne the name of a thing that frightens people — pronouncing the year of death, pronouncing childlessness, disparaging a fate, sowing fear. This work decisively refuses that path. The eight characters sketch one’s terrain and inclination; they do not, and never will, pass sentence on a life.
To know one’s destiny is to cultivate it.
The work
Bazi Rectified inducts the six classic works of destiny studies into their proper hierarchy, taking the truth of Qi-transformation as the arbiter of every conflict. It is built on two acts: examination — tracing each formula back to the source — and rectification — bringing every doctrine onto the single scale of Five-Element Qi-transformation.
